Make your own Nutella – vegan – with only 4 ingredients

I like to eat Nutella for breakfast.  Sometimes for dinner.  Certainly also throughout the day.  I am one of those people who likes to eat it with a spoon.  Yep, guilty.

So I badly needed a healthy hazelnut-cocoa alternative of this sugar loaded spread.  This is made with real ingredients:

  1. hazelnuts – for the nutty flavor (btw Nutella is made up of only 13% hazelnuts),
  2. cocoa powder – for the chocolate deliciousness
  3. maple syrup – for the sweet
  4. soy milk – for the creamy texture, as well as some vanilla aroma

Instructions
  1. Place the whole hazelnuts in a pan and "cook" them on medium heat for 5 minutes until you are able to easily remove the skin/shell.
  2. Add the hazelnuts to you blender and allow it to work for 15 minutes until you have delicious hazelnut butter.
  3. Add cocoa powder and and maple syrup, then continue blending.
  4. Gradually add in soy milk until you have the desired Nutella consistency.
